On Dec. 16, a ginger tabby named Apollo, was hit by a car in Danville, Virginia. Despite a broken leg and jaw, Apollo the cat managed to crawl to a nearby house. The home’s resident, Fallon Phillips, was alerted to the cat on her front porch by her two barking dogs.

Phillips reached out to her neighbor Jennifer Miller for help. Miller see up a GoFundMe page under the condition that Phillips would adopt Apollo. On Christmas eve, a specialist operated on Apollo for a discounted rate. Now Apollo has a new home shared with two dogs who have adopted him into the family.
