Outside cats in the winter time have a problem staying warm. So when rural customers of the Internet company Starlink purchased satellite dishes to get access to the Internet, they found a unique problem. To keep the dishes from being covered in snow, the dishes emit heat that melts snow.

Unfortunately, that heating element in the satellite dish also attracts cat who like to curl up on the satellite dish to stay warm. With so many fluffy bodies crowding the satellite dish, owners say their Internet connection actually slows down a bit. Perhaps Starlink users should invest in separate heating pads for their outdoor cats to keep their satellite dishes clear.
