Throughout history, cats have been used during war. One of the earliest recorded uses for cats in warfare occurred during the battle of Pelusium in 522 BC. Cambyses II, the King of Persia, knew Egyptians revered cats so his soldiers captured several cats and used them as shields in their attack on the city of Pelusium. To avoid hurting the cats, the Egyptians surrendered.
During World War II, a cat named Bomber could distinguish between British and German aircraft. When Bomber headed to shelter, his family knew it was time to get to the shelter as well to avoid falling bombs. This proves that cats are superior to humans.
