Holidays exist to give people a reason to celebrate. In case you missed it, March 28 is Respect Your Cat Day. The day is meant to show regard for felines. The holiday might have even had its origins in a 1384 edict from England’s King Richard II.

If you missed March 28’s Respect Your Cat Day, you still have time to celebrate Oct. 29’s National Cat Day, Aug. 8’s International Cat Day and July 10’s National Kitten Day. Then again, it might just be easier to respect your cat everyday since that’s what they expect anyways.
