It can be tough losing a pet. In some cases, cats and their owners can be reunited if a cat has been microchipped. In the case of a cat named Ritz, this reunion took 16 years.
Back in June 200, someone accidentally left the door open, leaving Ritz’s owner, Jason McKenry, distraught. Apparently Ritz wandered into someone else’s home, who took in Ritz, thinking the cat was feral. When Ritz got injured, this new owner took Ritz to the vet, who discovered a microchip that allowed the cat to be reunited with Jason.
