Florida had a surplus of cats. To help them find a home, 155 at-risk cats were flown from overpopulated animal shelters in Florida to Massachusetts and New Jersey as part of NBC Universal Local’s Clear the Shelters campaign.
This animal adoption campaign first launched in 2015 and has helped more than 700,000 pets find homes. This latest airlift helped all 155 cats find new homes in their new states. If you don’t live in any of these states, feel free to adopt a cat in the area that you’re in.
