Sadly, when most cats go missing, they’re never found. By microchipping your pet, you can increase the odds of getting your pet back. However, Harriet the cat may have set a record for being lost the longest and furthest from home.

Susan Moore adopted Harriet as a kitten to kill rodents around the barn. After two years, Harriet suddenly went missing. Nine years passed when Susan got a call from an Idaho animal shelter saying they had found Harriet and contacted her from a microchip. Now Harriet may be coming back home after nearly a decade being away.
