Global Cat Day, formerly known as National Feral Cat Day, is a day when Alley Cat Allies launches an educational campaign around the world to protect the lives of all cats, but specifically outdoor cats. Feral cats don’t make good pets, so animal rescue organizations focus on trap, neuter, release programs to keep their population down.
Feral cats deserve just as much love as any other cat, so be sure to care for a cat in your own way to celebrate Global Cat Day. Then again, just adopt as many cats as you can care for and give your cat companions the best life possible to keep them off the streets.
