Just like humans, cats need to sneeze periodically. Most of the time when a cat sneezes, it’s because there’s too much dust in the air or some other irritant that’s clogging up their nasal passages.

However, sometimes a sneezing cat can indicate other problems, such as too much use of air fresheners, perfume, or cigarette smoke. As a general rule, keep the air clean for both you and your pet. If your cat predictably sneezes in certain areas or near certain people, you might pinpoint the problem to someone’s cologne or general smell.

If a cat sneezes once in a while, you shouldn’t worry but if you cat sneezes excessively, take a look around your home and clean out the area until your cat can breathe normally again.
