Texas often has problems keeping their border secure with illegal immigrants crossing the border everyday. However, Texas also has another problem. They have too many cats.
The warm climate of Texas has allowed colonies of feral cats to thrive. Sadly, many of these feral cats seem to be friendly to humans, which suggests they were abandoned to fend for themselves. So if you live in Texas and can afford to adopt a cat or donate to a shelter that can care for these feral cats, do what you can. That way at least Texas can help reduce the number of cats left out in the wild.
