Many people are suspicious of advertising since advertisements often deceive or outright lie. That’s why the Humane Society of Washington County is being praised for their honest Facebook post urging people to adopt a cat named Quinn who was described as “more lively than a houseplant” and needing a human only “for food, water, and changing her litter.”

The Humane Society asked potential adoptees: “Do you want a cat who doesn’t want you? Do you crave the feeling of being judged in your own home? Do you need someone who will slap you back into reality without notice?” By letting people know what type of cat they might be adopting ahead of time, they clearly let everyone know what to expect, and people loved it until someone actually took Quinn home.
