The Richmond Animal Care and Control in Virginia recently received a 28 pound cat named One Frosty Too Many. While overweight cats can be obese due to medical conditions, it’s far more often a problem with the owners giving the cat way too much food.

Fortunately, One Frosty Too Many found a forever home. The new owner will likely put the cat on a diet to reduce its bulk. So if your cat is obese, check for medical conditions that might be the cause, but be prepared to give your cat less food and more exercise. If exercise and diet can help a cat lose weight, maybe it can work for humans as well.
