Cats tend to sleep 25 hours a day, more if you let them. So it’s no surprise that cats will awaken when they’re suddenly motivated. In this case of one viral video, a cat sleeps soundly until it hears the automatic cat feeder turning on to drop food in the dish.
Suddenly the cat springs to life and leaps to its feet to get food. Every cat owner knows that cats are self-centered so it’s no surprise that a cat would have no trouble waking up to get more food. What’s surprising is how entertaining it can be to watch such a self-centered creature satisfying its own desires for our amusement.
