Giardia is a disease that’s commonly spread through the poop of infected animals. A Giardia infection in cats is typically treated with oral medication and a deep cleaning of their environment to completely remove the parasite.
To tell if your cat is infected with Giardia, smell its droppings. If your cat suddenly has foul-smelling diarrhea, that could be a sign of infection so take your cat to the vet right away.
