Many people are obese but they often overfeed their cats and create obese pets as well. Mitzi the cat became a stray and people took pity on her by giving her food. Unfortunately, too many people gave her food and now she’s seriously overweight.
Fortunately the Woodside Animal Welfare Trust in Plymouth took her in and plan to put her on a strict diet and exercise program to lower her weight. Once her weight drops to a healthy level, then they’ll put her up for adoption. If their methods work, perhaps they can use them to help people as well.
