Michele Foster, of Exeter, Devon, England took Rubble the cat in as a kitten in 1988. Now 30 years later, Rubble has broken the world’s record for the oldest cat in the world.

While most cats live 10 – 17 years, Rubble is still in good health and going strong. He may not break the world’s record for the oldest cat ever (a cat from Texas named Creme Puff, which lived for 38 years), Rubble will still bring joy to his owner.

No matter how long your cat lives, spend time with it everyday to let it know you enjoy its presence. Cats can make wonderful companions no matter how long they live.
