Here’s a sad story. A man in Florida saw a stray cat walking along the side of the highway and stopped to keep the cat from getting hit by a car. Unfortunately, another motorist hit this would-be rescuer, seriously injuring the man, killing the cat, and getting herself killed at the same time.
As much as some people like allowing their cats to roam around outdoors, for safety’s sake, it’s best to keep cats indoors as much as possible to protect them from cars and other dangers. Cats may enjoy the outdoors, but there are too many dangers for a cat outside, especially in crowded areas where cars, dogs, and malicious people might hurt the cat.
