After noticing the popularity of cat cafes in Japan, Margaux Gandelon decided to open a similar cat cafe in Pariso. Called Le Café des Chats, the cafe has become an instant hit that has been reluctantly turning away those who arrive without reservations.

Beyond a simple 20-euro ($27) menu that includes freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs scrambled with chanterelle mushrooms, the main appeal of the cat cafe are the cats (10 females, two males) that lie on laps, perch on cat condos and lounge around the cafe. The next time you’re in Paris and want to eat a good meal with a cat in your lap, drop by Le Café des Chats.
