Saki is the name of an author with a wicked sense of humor. One of his best known stories is Tobermory, which tells the tale of a cat who a man has taught to speak in perfect English. Initially when the scientist makes his claim, people scoff at the idea. Then when someone actually engages in an actual conversation with the cat, everyone suddenly becomes interested. When they finally meet the talking cat, the cat winds up telling them things they’d rather not have revealed in public.
