Many people have cat T-shirts, so if you want to be different, why not buy a shirt with a cat embroidered on the shirt pocket? That’s what Japanese embroidery artist Hiroko Kubota discovered when she started creating clothes as a hobby. “My son was of a smaller build and store-bought clothes wouldn’t fit him well so I would often make him clothes,” explains Kubota. “It was actually at his request that I began embroidering cats.”
Since Kubota’s son was a cat fanatic, she started embroidering images of cute cats he found on the Internet. She’s currently selling her cat embroidered shirts on the Internet for $250 – $300. Better buy one soon because her shirts keep selling out.
