With the current rage in superheroes these days, most people may not remember that DC Comics went a little overboard in their Superman series and had Superboy, Supergirl, Superdog, and even Superhorse. But the strangest superhero of all may have been Streaky the Supercat.
Apparently Streaky was Supergirl’s pet cat and after Supergirl carelessly tossed aside a piece of kryptonite, her cat Streaky got exposed to it and developed superpowers, although those powers didn’t seem to extend to developing thumbs so he could open his own cans of cat food.
