For some reason, the Japanese seem to love cats. Unlike Americans who often have large yards, the Japanese tend to live in far smaller homes so a cat is much easier to care for in a limited amount of space than a dog. Of course that doesn’t explain why the Japanese tend to create bizarre cat-like creatures for their cartoons. One of the strangest is the Catbus.
The Catbus is a male cat with a bus for a body. The grinning Catbus can even disappear occasionally, much like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. Perhaps the Japanese have been spending a little too much time with their cats.
