When Sandra Whitford’s apartment building caught on fire, she and all the residents managed to escape, but she didn’t have time to rescue her cat named Miss Kitty. Seven hours later when the fire had been put out and residents were allowed to salvage what they could from their homes, Sandra heard meowing under a pile of debris in her bedroom.
Despite being coated with ash, Miss Kitty survived unscathed. A rigorous bath cleaned Miss Kitty up until she’s alive and well. How Miss Kitty survived the fire is anyone’s guess, but she did, which might prove that cats have nine lives after all.
