Most cat lovers persist in the delusion that they own their cats. However, the reality is that many cats own their supposed owners. If you’re in doubt on your status with your cat in your household, you might want to ask yourself some basic questions.
Do you avoid moving the cat for any reason? For example, if the cat lays on the couch where you want to sit, do you just sit somewhere else? Do you spend a fortune on cat toys in a desperate attempt to keep your cat happy? If these questions make you uncomfortable, chances are good that your cat really owns you and not the other way around.
