Paul Wesley, who plays Stephan Salvatore on the CW’s show “Vampire Diaries,” has a best friend and it’s his cat. What makes his cat unique is that its name is also Cat.
“I guess I’m making a statement against humanizing cats,” Wesley said with a laugh. “I named the cat Whiskey first, because it has long whiskers and I also like drinking whiskey. But then it just seemed cheesy to me. So I went back to Cat and now it’s just Cat. I feel good about it.”
So the next time you’re looking for a name for your cat, you could always choose the obvious like Paul Wesley did and just call your cat Cat. It’s a good thing Paul’s parents didn’t think like he does or else his name would be Boy.
