If you’ve ever tried to give your cat a bath, you probably have numerous scar tissue on your arms to prove it. Curiously, cats spend an inordinate amount of time cleaning themselves, but the moment you get them near a bath, they panic and freak out.
If you have kittens, teach them early to accept baths. If you have an older cat who has never been acclimated to getting a bath, you can try giving your cat a sponge bath or just putting your cat in shallow water and gently rinsing off your cat.
Then again, you might want to hire someone to give your cat a bath instead, just in case the claws come out and slash everyone in sight like a bad horror slasher flick.
