The Humane Society has been forced to rescue a bunch of cats living in a hoarder’s home. “Upon entering, the ammonia smell was overwhelming,” said Staci Papadoplos, a Humane Society staff member. “The floor was covered in urine, feces, and rotting cat food. All rooms were cluttered, making it difficult to walk in other rooms.”

The Humane Society has set traps to capture the remaining cats and put them up for adoption if possible. Caring for a cat might be nice, but it’s nearly impossible to care for too many cats at once without making the house unsanitary for everyone. Take care of your cat, but make sure you have enough time and space to care for the cats you do have.
