With the rise in social media, it’s no surprise that many Islamist fighters in Syria and Iraq use social media sites like Instagram and Facebook. Not surprisingly, many Islamists like posting pictures of cats including cats posing near weapons.
Either this means the cats are being protected by their owners using military-grade weaponry, or the cats are sick of all the fighting among humans and have taken matters into their own hands by obtaining weapons for themselves.
