For their eighth annual Cat’s Meow Auction and Gala, local artists created cat items and put them on display throughout Catskill for people to bid on their favorite cat. All proceeds from the auction are donated to a list of organizations including Animal Kind, Community Action, and many more.

Catskill Village President Vincent Seeley said “This has become a yearly mainstay in our village in Catskill and raising money for local programs.” Although no actual cats were involved in the auction, you can be sure somebody’s cats got their paws on some of the money at some point during the auction. These cats probably also walked all over a computer keyboard and lay across some important papers on somebody’s desk too.
