When groups of feral cats overwhelmed a mobile-home park in Plattsburgh, New York, the nonprofit organization Focus on Ferals set traps to catch them. Unfortunately one cat got its leg caught in the snare trap, which had to be amputated. Luckily the cat, named Count Three Legs, has found a happy home despite its limitations.

The next time you see feral cats roaming around, they could live a far better life if they were taken care of. So don’t be afraid to adopt a cat and get it off the streets. Feral cats can become friendly if treated right.
