Cat Cafes are popular in Japan and one finally opened in Oakland, California. Not to be left out, another cat cafe plans to open in Washington, D.C. The Washington Humane Society will provide the cats and the cafe will provide the space, hopefully opening by the summer of 2015.

With more cat cafes planned in American in New York and Seattle, you can expect to find more places to visit a cat when you can’t get home to a cat of your own. Cat cafes provide a way for people to “test drive” a cat before choosing to adopt one for themselves.
