For some reason, the Japanese love cats. Maybe because the Japanese tend to live in smaller homes so they need animals that require less space. In any event, the Japanese have come up with sayings that use the word “cat” in them such as Nekojita 猫舌 – (literally ‘cat tongue’) inability to take hot food/drink or Nekoze 猫背 – (literally ‘cat back’) bent back, hunchback, stoop.

The idea that the word cat could seep into the Japanese language is proof that either the Japanese know something the rest of the world doesn’t know or that all the Japanese cats have taken over the island and have already controlled the entire human population to bend them to their will.
