If you think you spoil your cats, you haven’t seen the home of Peter Cohen, who has spent almost $40,000 transforming his Goleta, Calif., house into a kitty paradise for his many rescue cats.

“Way more expensive than a sane person would build, but I didn’t care,” Peter said. “I love my cats, my house and art, so I designed it to be beautiful to me.”

Ultimately, Cohen says it brings him a lot of satisfaction knowing that he’s providing a safe and happy environment for his rescue animals.

“Giving rescued cats a better life means giving them a place that is solely their own,” he said. “They give us unconditional love, and building the catwalks is one way of expressing my gratitude for that.”

The next time someone tells you that you spoil your cats, show them this video and let them decide who’s cats are really spoiled.
