When a three-year old cat came to the Mayhew Animal Home, in Kensal Green, London, on January 15, the shelter officials had to treat for a severe flea allergy. Her flea  infestation got so bad that they had to remove part of her ear. That’s when the shelter officials noticed that the cat had an artistic bent, so they named her Van Gogh.

Now Van Gogh is using her painting ability to create paintings that the shelter sells. The money earned from the paintings helps fund the shelter so they can rescue even more cats. Don’t worry about Van Gogh though. She paints using fruit juice to protect her paws.
