Every cat owner knows that cats can be smarter than most people. In fact, cats are probably smarter than 99% of the people you work with and see on a regular basis. Instead of hauling stray cats to animal shelters to euthanize them, it might be more beneficial to drag some of your worst co-workers to an animal shelter and euthanize that person instead of a cat.

Physically, the brain of the cat accounts for approximately 0.9 percent of its body mass, compared to about 2 percent in an average human and about 1.2 percent in an average dog. Yet surface folding and brain structure matter more than brain size. Cat brains have a surface folding and structure very similar to that of the human brain. That means cats may be as smart (or smarter) than the average person. Considering that some people don’t like cats, that’s a clue to their intelligence right there.
