In New York, a woman loved her cats so much that she wanted to see them while she was away from home. “People thought I was crazy to spend $200 on a camera, plus another $100 a year to record the video so I could watch my cats,” she said.
Her cat cam caught a thief climbing through a window and steal stuff while the woman’s feline pals gazed apathetically from a pillow as the crook snatched an iPad and a laptop off a desk.
Although the cat cam didn’t stop the crime, it did provide evidence to help catch the intruder. Hopefully next time the cats will help protect its owner’s belongings, but given the apathy of most cats, they probably expect their owner to buy them new things anyway.
