Pancake was born with a skeletal deformity that left her with a missing front right leg and a folded front left leg that couldn’t be used for walking. Pancake’s original family wanted to put her to sleep but Meagan Malone decided to adopt the cat and give it a good home.
At first Pancake just laid around the house, not moving, but gradually she started to adapt to her new surroundings. “She started standing up, she started to hop around, she started eating out of a bowl. That was a big step for her,” Malone said. The tiny cat, who used to just lie in one spot, quickly became “very playful and really affectionate.”
If a two-legged kitten can overcome problems to have a good life, then everyone else can take inspiration from Pancake and turn their own life around no matter what the circumstances may be.
