When Miyuki Takeda, owner of High Paw Pet Supplies in Colorado found a cat wandering around downtown Fairplay in November, Miyuki brought the cat to the animal shelter portion of the pet store. Because of the cat’s massive size (25 pounds), Miyuki dubbed him Andre after Andre the Giant.
Now Andrew has amassed over 1,000 likes on his Facebook page and has brought people into the store to look at him. After looking at Andre, many people then go on to adopt a cat, boosting cat adoptions at the store.
Several people have even inquired whether Andre is up for adoption, but the pet store has decided to make Andre the store cat and give him a good home. After all, what other home offers so many varieties of cat food?
