For the past few days, Geoff Taylor, 63, knew there was a thief sneaking into his house at night, opening his refrigerator, and eating his food. What he didn’t know what who it was and how it got in.
One night he heard the intruder and rushed to the kitchen to find a budget had gotten in through his cat door, opened the refrigerator, and helped itself to six eggs along with a Bakewell tart.
Upon noticing it was being filmed, the badger immediately took off and escaped out the cat door. Not surprisingly, the next night when the badger tried to get back in, Geoff had locked the cat door shut.
If you have a cat door, be careful. You may be letting more than just your cat into your house at all hours of the day and night.
