Animal shelters have a problem. They have too many pets needing adoption, so many have taken to the Internet to boost awareness of the number of needy pets that deserve a good home. Initially, shelters used webcams so anyone could see the current batch of animals playing in a shelter. Now animal shelters are experimenting with remotely controlled toys.
The idea is that now you can not only watch a cat live through a webcam, but you can control a robotic toy through your computer and interact with a cat through the remotely-controlled toy. Playing with a cat through your computer is probably the best use of your time when you don’t want to do any actual work.
