After graduating from college, Isabelle Furth and her boyfriend, William Dvorkin of McLean, decided to travel around Europe. At one point they found a black cat and were innocently petting it when the owner came running out, angry that they were loitering around his apartment.
When the owner eventually learned that the couple was just innocently petting his cat, the owner let them borrow the cat for the night so they could continue enjoying the cat’s company.
The next time you travel anywhere, let a cat be your translator. While you may never understand another language, everyone can understand the affections humans feel for cats.
