When a Romanian company needed a communications director, they could have interviewed hundreds of applicants for the position. Instead, the start-up company appointed Bossy for a salary of £110 per month plus a healthy bonus of cat food. That means the nine-month old cat will earn more than some Romanians working in rural areas.
Catbox.ro is an online store, selling original presents that can be delivered in less than 24 hours and hired Bossy, a blue Scottish Fold cat, for the communications director position. Given the ability of cats to communicate their desires as noisily as possible, it’s likely Bossy will be a better worker than many humans. If Bossy works out, perhaps companies all over the world could throw out their expensive CEOs and replace them with less expensive and far cuter cats instead.
