Many people prefer the company of cats over the company of human beings. Considering how many human beings behave, it’s not surprising that cats win out every time. Yet sometimes too much of a good thing can be too much.
“You end up with a full heart and an empty wallet,” said Kelly, breeder and owner of 40 felines, who had chosen the cats over her husband. There’s also Silvana, who spent £90,000 a year running a cat rescue centre. Barbarella even “married” two cats since 2004.
If your idea of a good time is collecting more cats, chances are good you’re a crazy cat person. But there’s still hope. If you think cleaning up after a cat is bad, try cleaning up after a child. From that perspective, maybe having more cats isn’t such a bad idea after all.
