Mothers of all types tend to be nurturing creatures so it’s no surprise that a mother cat would care for her kittens. What is surprising is that a mother cat would also adopt a baby squirrel that had lost its own family.

Even stranger is that this baby squirrel has hung around the mother cat for so long that it has learned to purr. Perhaps if we let this baby squirrel around human mothers, it would learn to talk, cook, text its friends over mobile phones as well.

If you thought animals can’t learn from their surroundings, you’re probably thinking of teenagers trapped in high school classrooms. Barring the inability of humans to learn, it seems that other animals, including baby squirrels, are able to learn and keep their brains active.
