Amber Marienthal’s house borders the edge of Leland high school in California so her cat Bubba often wanders around the campus. Bubba has become such a regular fixture at the high school that students and teachers often stop to pet him and take his picture.

Since Bubba is so familiar with the high school, the school decided to give him his own picture ID.

“It’s very funny,” Marienthal said of her cat’s friendly demeanor and love for the school. “We tried to keep him as an indoor cat but he refused to stay in.”

Perhaps if Bubba spends some time in a classroom, he might wind up learning more than many of the students there. At the very least, Bubba can roam the campus legally and perhaps one day even graduate as well.
