It’s no secret that cats dominate the Internet. Yet it’s not because of the Internet that cats are so popular, but cats are popular and the Internet simply lets us reveal our love for them.
Cats are funny, ridiculous, and even heroic. No matter what cats do, they always look majestic, cute, and completely relaxed while doing it. Cats could take over the world and enslave humanity and people would cheerfully capture video of their new feline overlords and post these videos on the Internet for everyone to enjoy.
No other animal enjoys the leeway we give to cats. Even though cats don’t seem to care about us, they appeal to us anyway, which no person could ever do without being ostracized from society forever.
