Black and white Shinji likes sitting in a window sill, watching birds in the tree. Unfortunately the windowsill was 40 feet (12m) high and happened to be open when Shinji fell out the window and landed on the ground below, breaking two front legs.
A neighbor saw him fall and alerted his owner, who took Shinji to the vet. The vet placed two frames around each leg to stabilize them and said, “He’s a very strong cat and he’s doing remarkably well.”
Shinji’s owner has now locked the windows to keep him rom falling out again, but Shinji will likely still watch the birds except this time he probably won’t try to reach for them out his window.
