The next time you turn on your car, be careful. In cold areas, a cat might climb into your car engine and get trapped the moment you start driving.

That’s what happened to a drive in Tempe, Arizona, who turned on a car and heard a frantic meowing coming from the engine compartment. A quick call to the Humane Society brought rescuers who freed a “Maine Coon” cat trapped inside the car engine right by the fan belt.

Fortunately the cat only suffered minor burns and has been dubbed “Vee-Dub” since it had been caught in a Volkswagen Beetle. The next time you start your car, be careful of any cats that might have crawled inside.
