When Terry Duncan’s home flooded, she frantically searched the second floor of her Town and Country home, looking for Metu, a 6-year-old blind cat. Sadly, she was forced to abandon her search and leave without Metu.

When the National Guard evacuated the residents, they could only take people. So Duncan left food, water and a litter box for Metu in one of the upstairs bedrooms when she left.

Fortunately when Mike Roberts returned with Terry Duncan, they found Metu hiding under Duncan’s bed. She and Roberts put the cat in a collapsible kennel. Then, Roberts carried her downstairs to his truck.
