Back in 1962, Hanna-Barbera had a TV cartoon series called “Top Cat,” which depicted the adventures of a mischievous cat and his gang of alley cats living in the city. In the United Kingdom, “Top Cat” was renamed “Boss Cat” but otherwise remained the same character.

Although “Top Cat” has been off the air for decades, Halifax decided to bring “Top Cat” back for an advertising campaign.

“No other bank could run this new campaign,” said Catherine Kehoe, managing director of group brands and marketing at Halifax. “It reflects perfectly our personality and is a real celebration of how our friendly and down-to-earth colleagues support everyone.”
